Best TEFL Job Websites For China
ESL teaching job listings in China? Below are a few of my favorite websites along with introductions in order to help you find the perfect TEFL job for you. All of these sites have employers seeking teachers throughout the year. Don’t worry if you missed the beginning of the semester. There is always an unfilled TEFL job in China!
For first-time job-seekers
Dave’s ESL café (http://www.daveseslcafe.com/) – This is one of the oldest and best sites for finding TEFL jobs. Dave charges a hefty fee for schools to put a posting on his site so what you end up getting is a lot of very large companies offering very standardized job packages in many cities across China. You’ll also find individual schools recruiting teachers and paying much higher than average salaries. You can get a school’s contact directly from the job posting and you never deal with an agent.
Better for ESL teachers who have some experience and know what they want Angelina’s ESL café (http://www.anesl.com/schools/index.asp) – Recruitment agent with a great selection of public and private schools all over China. They are fast to respond and very helpful.
ESL Employment (http://www.eslemployment.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi) – Great selection of jobs across China. You can also sign up to receive a weekly list of new openings. A great feature!
The Beijinger (www.thebeijinger.com) – If you’re in Beijing or are interested in teaching in Beijing this website is the most comprehensive inside source for teaching jobs. Most listings cater to teachers who are already in China.
